Charts, Bruh: How The Hell Did We Get Here?

Peep this chart, bruh (via NYT):

We recently highlighted the underlying ironies of each major party’s 2016 presidential nominees. These ironies revolve around the fact that Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are running on platforms that completely contradict their historical views/actions. Hilariously enough, that’s not the most absurd element of America’s 2 main presidential candidates. No, the biggest irony/surprise of this election is that DonDon and The Hilldabeast happen to be the #1 and #2 most hated presidential candidates ever. Screen shot 2016-08-02 at 9.04.34 PM

With the terrible corruption surrounding each candidate, and statistics showing no one
actually like these fuckfaces, you’re bound to ask: “HOW THE HELL DID WE GET HERE?”. Well, the chart above explains exactly how the hell we got here.

Out of all Americans, only 9% of the population actually voted for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. NINE FUCKING PERCENT!

That, ladies and gentlemen, is how 2016 America, a country that features the most “woke” generation ever, narrowed itself down to these 2 loathsome candidates.

You’re killing me, Smalls.

For shits and gigs, here are the statistics that the New York Times used to determine the 9% figure:

  1. 103 million of them are children, noncitizens or ineligible felons, and they do not have the right to vote.

  2. 88 million eligible adults do not vote at all, even in general elections.

  3. An additional 73 million did not vote in the primaries this year, but will most likely vote in the general election.

  4. The remaining 60 million people voted in the primaries: about 30 million each for Republicans and Democrats.

  5. But half of the primary voters chose other candidates. Just 14 percent of eligible adults — 9 percent of the whole nation — voted for either Mr. Trump or Mrs. Clinton.
