ICYMI: Action Bronson had a show cancelled by the PC police yet again. Earlier in the month it was George Washington University, now it’s Trinity College.
I think we’re all aware of the pussification of America well and good by now, but this shit continues to grind my gears. Aside from Bronson being one of the realest rappers in the game currently, he’s also one of the realest people. Watch one minute of his show, “Fuck That’s Delicious” and tell me he isn’t the most down to Earth celebrity in the world.
“As both students and student leaders, we fully agree that it is not only certain songs by Action Bronson that go against the school’s mission. The very act of bringing him to this campus runs counter to the College’s obligation to protect the emotional and physical safety of its students. As the Executive Board of EAC Barnyard, we believe that protecting the safety of our students is our top priority. The Executive Board of EAC Barnyard would like to apologize for considering bringing Action Bronson, an explicitly unconscious rapper, to campus….”
Straight from the mouths of the Trinity College administration. Sure, I understand that Bronsolino’s lyrics are vivd, intricate and sometimes lewd… But does that make him any different from any other performer today? His lyrics aren’t any worse than some of the trash spewing out of Pop 40 hits on the radio today. And in fact, Bam Bam’s lyrics actually tell a fucking STORY. (That’s what music is about, in case you forgot, Trinity College).
For what it’s worth, they decided to stick with Kehlani for their Spring Concert. If you don’t know her story, you can read about it here. But if we’re going to be cancelling shows for artists based on the vividness of their lyrics to protect the “emotional and physical safety” of students, shouldn’t it go both ways?
People want to know why Trump is running away with Republican nomination? Look no further than this… The PC police won’t stop until all of America is pussified….. Please go back to your shanties!
