2016 Oscar Winners

So the Oscars happened last night. I tried doing a live journal like I did for the Grammy’s, but it was so fucking boring and drawn-out that I had to stop 33.3% of the way through (that’s a third or 1/3 for you slow folks).

Here’s a quick recap of what went down last night:

Sly Stallone got robbed. This was his moment to come full circle after winning his first Oscar 40 years ago for the Original Screenplay of “Rocky”. Luckily, Arnold was there to console him.

Alicia Vikander is pretty smokin hot. Can’t tell if she got a big booty though with that elegant dress on. She’s got some serious acting chops to boot(y), I might add.

Mad Max gave everyone The Shocker and was the ultimate Cinderella Story after winning an unexpected 6 Oscars.

Leo had that Oscar Acceptance Speech (TM) super ready after years of waiting and countless rewrites. Despite Leo’s positive message about climate change, we don’t need to hear it from the dude that runs around the globe banging supermodels

ENNIO MORRICONE WON HIS FIRST OSCAR. As I’ve mentioned in this forum previously, Morricone is hands-down the greatest cinematic composer next to John Williams in the history of modern film. Very happy for him. Great speech.

Jack Black was apparently a major part of African American History (funny skit).

***Chris Rock made sure even the most ignorant “middle-Americans” understood what the concept of institutional racism is.***
